Aimee, you've done a wonderful job weaving pieces together here - even an alligator named Sam!! Thank you for telling true stories.

(and sharing from your sketchbook - I always love to peek into your sketchbook!!)

I can relate to so much of this. I also deal with chronic pain and while it is much quieter these days I recognize that tension of not knowing whether you’ll make it through something but also wanting to show up for the people you love. You were brave!

I’m amazed by how much healing there can be and how complex the interplay of brain and body is. Pain is such a mysterious thing.

What an exceptional piece! I loved the way you wove the whole story together and I’m aching to get on the lake with you! I think spiritual direction a decade ago began to move the walls of my faith outward and that process continues today. That shift has helped me become more of who I’m made to be.

Being on the water has such a powerful effect, doesn’t it? Thanks for sharing. And my husband and I just bought kayaks too...for our 35th anniversary!

Thanks for reading, Linda. I love that you also got kayaks. We’ve already taken them out several times in the last week. The big moment this week was when I took them out with my daughter and successfully loaded and secured them back on top of my car.
